Access from Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (AMB)

Also known as Santiago International Airport, it is the main airport in Chile, located northwest of the city of Santiago, the capital of Chile.

You must pass immigration control at the Santiago airport, collect your luggage, and deliver your declaration to the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG). The declaration can be done online using a QR code located in several places along the path.

Consider that in Chile the Agricultural and Livestock Service (Servicio Agricola y Ganadero- SAG) is very strict regarding the entry of plant and animal products (honey, nuts, animal food, hams, cheeses, etc.); the fines are very severe. If you have doubts about any element that you bring, it is better that you declare it (YES in the box where it asks if you enter products) and ask, in this way you will not have problems.

Alternatives to leave Santiago Airport

Downtown Bus

These buses, called “Centropuerto” offer a transfer service to the center of Santiago and have 2 routes: “Airport – Los Héroes” and “Airport – Maipú”, with stops at useful metro stations to also connect with buses to other cities in Chile. The ticket can be purchased at some counters just after passing the SAG control, where you will have the option to pay with cards or on the bus itself.

The metro and bus station “Pajaritos” or “Universidad de Santiago”, are points that will connect you with the rest of the city of Santiago or take a bus to other cities of interest. To go directly to Concepción by bus prefer the “Airport-Los Héroes” route and get down at Universidad de Santiago stop. From here you are few meters from the train station and bus terminal.
